About Suzanne
For four years, Suzanne served as a Legislative Analyst and Assistant at the Oklahoma House of Representatives, where she helped craft conservative policies and assisted with legislation development to demand greater government transparency to taxpayers. An active member of multiple Republican groups and longtime conservative policy and campaign volunteer, Suzanne has built a reputation as a critical thinker, freedom protector, and an effective conservative public policy advocate.

A 30-year Oklahoma resident, Suzanne has called the Guthrie/Edmond area home for 14 years. She and her husband, Keith—a retired special education public school teacher— found their dream home in Guthrie, driven by a many-year desire to leave behind urban sprawl, but still be in the same region. When neighbors urged her to run for House District 38, she recognized the need for a proven, conservative leader who could advocate at the capitol effectively for the region that she and her husband love. Suzanne and Keith spent over seven years mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters, building lasting connections and seeing the profound impact of investing in others. Their daughter, thriving in a supervisory role at a utility services company, reflects the family’s commitment to hard work.
Faith and family create the core principles of Suzanne’s life. Raised by a father who went from farm boy to small-town pastor and a mother who taught her grit, honesty, and independence, she exemplifies those values in her daily life. Caring for her elderly father for eight years gave her firsthand insight into the struggles caregivers face, and the need to ensure that families have the tools to care for loved ones - a win-win for our stretched health care system in eldercare and the ability for families to extend quality time with loved ones, along with enhanced dignity and continued opportunities for seniors to enjoy life.

With real-world experience and a heart for service, Suzanne Callihan is ready to fight for hardworking Oklahoma families, responsible government, and Oklahoma’s core values at the State Capitol.
